Хью Бонневилль (Downton Abbey, Paddington) выходит на сцену в роли К. С. Льюиса — писателя, философа и автора «Хроник Нарнии». Его партнёрша — Мэгги Сифф (Mad Men, Billions), играющая американскую поэтессу Джой Дэвидман, чьё появление неожиданно нарушает размеренный ритм жизни британского интеллектуала, выстроенной из привычек, убеждений и рационального порядка.
То, что начинается как разговор двух равных умов — и даже двух миров, — постепенно превращается в глубокое и трогательное путешествие, в котором любовь и утрата оказываются не противоположностями, а частью одного опыта.
