С тех пор как нобелевский лауреат Боб Эдвардс научился создавать “детей в пробирке”, то есть осуществлять ЭКО, прошло почти 50 лет. За это время человечество столкнулось с совершенно новыми этическими вызовами: наша мораль не дает автоматических ответов на вопрос о том, что можно и что нельзя делать с этими эмбрионами, и у кого на них больше прав - у отца, у матери, у ученых или у чиновников. Пока суды заняты тем, что ищут в глубине веков архаичные законы, которые можно было бы применить тут к делу, наши инструменты всё это время быстро развиваются. Мы уже занялись селекцией, подбором, модификацией эмбрионов - а в этом году впервые создали синтетические эмбрионы, с уже совсем неясным этическим статусом.
Поэтому нам надо срочно встретиться и обсудить хотя бы между собой: что мы думаем обо всем этом, и как могло бы быть устроено идеальное государство будущего, в котором эти вопросы будут регулироваться так, чтобы мы считали это этически приемлемым.

- Ticket Requirement: Each guest requires an entrance ticket for the show
