Вас ждут обстоятельные, неожиданные и порой парадоксальные наблюдения. В своём выступлении Александр Васильев затрагивает тонкие темы: любовь, сексуальность, культурные и социальные изменения, влияние философских течений и гендерных трансформаций на становление моды. Маэстро предлагает взглянуть на историю костюма иначе — через призму нравов и мировоззрения XX столетия.

The incomparable Maestro Alexander Vasiliev presents his author’s mono-performance “Fashion and Eroticism”.

What subtle — and at times entirely overt — stylistic devices have people used in clothing to attract the opposite sex? How have changing attitudes towards sexuality influenced the evolution of fashion?
Which ideals of male and female beauty have defined different eras? Expect fascinating, unexpected, and at times paradoxical insights from the renowned fashion historian himself.

In this lecture-performance, Alexander Vasiliev explores delicate themes — intimacy, eroticism, and the relationships between the sexes — revealing how philosophy, cultural and sexual revolutions, and the evolution of gender roles have shaped fashion throughout history. The Maestro offers a fresh and thought-provoking perspective on fashion, seen through the prism of twentieth-century social morals and cultural attitudes.
